January 2009 Yuno offers digital on-site picture scanning service to European museums

We are pleased to offer European museums an on-site digital scanning service to enable them to create accurate records of their important heritage materials such as paintings and manuscripts for research, conservation, teaching, printing and display to the public. The unique digital scanning apparatus used was developed at the University of Kyoto, in Professor Ari Ide’s advanced imaging technology laboratory, as part of their research programme on high resolution digitising, non-destructive analysis and secure dynamic display of cultural heritage materials. February 2008 AMATERAS Exhibition at Louvre, Paris.

We are pleased to announce that on March 4th there will be an exhibition for Amateras at the Louvre, Paris as part of the 150 years anniversary of France-Japan cultural relations. The software is being used to demonstrate the cultural heritage of Nijo castle.

January 2008 Yuno Ltd and the Technology Seed Incubation Co., Ltd. (TSI) introduce AMATERAS.

July 2007 Yuno Ltd conducts Commuter Survey for East Cambridgeshire District Council.

“Yuno Ltd has completed a survey for the East Cambridgeshire District Council (ECDC) that analyses where rail commuters from the district currently work, and what can be done to entice them to work within East Cambridgeshire. This survey is part of ECDC's five year economic development strategy that puts national and international business promotion at the top of their agenda. September 2005 Yuno Ltd forms Strategic Alliance with Technology Seed Incubation Co., Ltd.

“Yuno Ltd, and Kore Technology Ltd have entered into a strategic alliance with Technology Seed Incubation Co., Ltd. (TSI) of Kyoto, Japan (http://www.tsi-japan.com/english/e_index.html). TSI acts as a “bridge” between universities or research institutes and commercial corporations by actively enhancing their cooperation to develop a product or process with commercial potential. TSI will match a corporation’s particular mission with the appropriate university researchers before incubating the new venture. During the incubation process TSI typically provides technology evaluation services and ensures intellectual property is protected, as well as providing financial management services for the research and development project."

 

January 2004 Onaka Ltd moves to Cranfield University

“Onaka has moved its research base to Cranfield University to be near to Professor Hunter’s research group. Clinical tests will still be performed at Addenbrookes’ hospital.”

December 2002 Yuno Ltd invests in Onaka Ltd

"Yuno has invested in the gastroenterology biomarker company Onaka Ltd. "Onaka" is Japanese for "belly" and so it is an appropriate name for a company specialising in finding fast non-invasive diagnostics for illnesses like Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Crohns disease and Colon Cancer. Onaka Ltd. was founded by Professor John Hunter, a consultant gastrologist at the world renowned teaching and research hospital Addenbrookes in Cambridge, UK."

November 2001 Dr. Paul Auton joins Yuno Limited as Consultant.

"Dr Paul Auton has agreed to be a consultant to Yuno Ltd. Dr Auton has recently retired as the Chairman of Cambridge Consultants Ltd. (part of the international technology consultancy company Arthur D Little Inc). He now works as an independent consultant. He has extensive experience in starting up high technology companies and is a non-executive director of a number of Cambridge companies, including Cambridge Silicon Radio Ltd and Prelude Technology Investments. Dr Auton will act as a mentor and consultant on potential Yuno projects and partnerships."

August 2001 Yuno Limited invests in Surface Spectra Limited.

Yuno Ltd has taken a 15% equity stake in analytical sciences publishing company Surface Spectra Ltd. SurfaceSpectra Ltd is a publishing house dedicated to the provision of high quality software and books to facilitate the activities of scientists and technologists in the fields of surface chemistry, surface analysis and surface science. SurfaceSpectra Ltd is a UK university based company run by Professor John Vickerman (UMIST) and Professor David Briggs (University of Nottingham) who are acknowledged experts in surface science."
